Compare the same situation.

Australia · 1 shop · 3 staff · 300 appointments / month · 50 reminder SMS

Compare subscription, SMS, payment and marketplace fees separately. An unconfirmed cost is not zero. The detailed comparisons retain the plan, currency, billing and tax assumptions.

Run the day. Ask in ChatGPT.

  • See tomorrow’s appointments.
  • Move a booking to 11:30.
  • Update a service price.

BeautiDesk Business is an invitation-only pilot. Use your own ChatGPT account; plan and usage limits apply.

A focused, independent workflow

Try BeautiDesk when your priority is a clear booking link, a small team’s calendar and everyday admin.

Keep your existing checkout. A complete loyalty and marketing suite is not offered in the current release.

When another setup may fit

  • Square: integrated payments and POS.
  • Simple Salon: broader salon management tools.
  • Fresha: marketplace discovery alongside direct booking links.

Marketplace discovery can bring new clients; visitors can also compare other salons.

Try the workflow before you switch.

Explore the fictional hair salon. Keep your current system while you confirm what can be brought over.

Menu setup is supported through the invited pilot. Full client and historical appointment migration is not an automatic service.

Questions before switching

Which salon software should a small Australian salon compare?

Start with the work your salon needs: online booking, staff calendars, reminders, checkout and customer records. This page compares BeautiDesk, Simple Salon, Square Appointments and Fresha. Try the workflows and check the current Australian plan and extra fees before switching.

Is BeautiDesk the cheapest option?

Not necessarily. Compare the same staff count, appointment volume and SMS usage, then add relevant payment, marketplace and tax charges. BeautiDesk Starter is AUD $49.99 per month with limits; Square also offers a free plan. The detailed pages explain the assumptions and unknown costs instead of claiming guaranteed savings.

Do I need ChatGPT to use BeautiDesk?

No. The normal booking page, merchant workspace and isolated demo work without a ChatGPT connection. BeautiDesk Business for ChatGPT is an invitation-only pilot; invited owners use their own ChatGPT account with separate plan and usage limits.

Does a marketplace help a salon get clients?

A marketplace can introduce a salon to new clients and lets visitors compare other businesses. Fresha also offers direct booking links. BeautiDesk provides a standalone public booking page without listing services in a shared cross-shop directory; that does not guarantee customer retention.

Will the demo create a real appointment or migrate my data?

No. The hair salon demo uses fictional services, staff and clients in an isolated page session. It sends no booking, payment or notification. Starting a trial creates your own setup flow; full client and historical appointment migration is not an automatic service.

Sources & methodology

BeautiDesk publishes this comparison about its own product. It is not an independent review or a scored ranking. Daily tasks are ordered for an independent small salon; your priorities may differ. Competitor plan availability comes from their own published pages. Absence of a verified ChatGPT connection is not proof that a vendor has no AI tools.
